TEACHING
I hold dual degrees in Education and Fine Arts, along with a high school art teacher certification. Over the years, I have gained extensive educational experience in museums, schools, art institutions, urban communities, and rural areas, teaching across various age groups and art mediums. My teaching journey has given me a deep understanding of the diverse needs and expressive forms of different groups in art, from children to adults, and from traditional painting to cross-media creation. I am committed to sparking learners’ creativity and perception through art, helping them discover themselves and connect with the world through their creations.
My philosophy of art education is rooted in the pursuit of “Truth, Goodness, and Beauty.” I believe that art education is not merely about imparting techniques but a process of nurturing the spirit and enlightening the mind. Through art, learners can explore themselves, understand the world, and cultivate empathy and humanistic care through immersion in beauty. I aspire to create my classroom as an open space where all learners can find their unique mode of expression.
Inspired by Joseph Beuys’ concept of “Social Sculpture,” I believe that “everyone is an artist,” and art is not only a means of personal expression but also a creative force for shaping society. I envision integrating art education more closely with social practice, making it a bridge that connects individuals and society, fostering a more inclusive, creative, and compassionate social environment.
