ARTS
From an early age, I nurtured a profound passion for art. In many ways, I was an ordinary child, but drawing became my pathway to recognition and acclaim. By high school, I embarked on formal training in artistic techniques, yet my true creative awakening unfolded during my undergraduate years.
I pursued a degree in Design Education at the Sichuan Fine Arts Institute’s College of Art Education, a program dedicated to fostering educators skilled in design thinking. This training taught me to approach both artistic creation and teaching through the perspectives of curation and design, seamlessly blending creative methodologies into pedagogy and artistic practice.

However, the emphasis on design education diverged from the conventional path of a professional artist, leaving gaps in my systematic artistic framework. A transformative moment came in my sophomore year when, after a rigorous selection process, I earned a place in one of the university’s ten prestigious studios—"the Cross-media Studio"—under the guidance of Associate Professor Zeng Tu. There, I delved into the dynamic relationship between art and society, learning to craft works deeply anchored in social contexts. By graduation, I had earned the studio’s certification, cementing my foundation in interdisciplinary art practice.

My undergraduate experience—spanning design education and transmedia art—laid a rich foundation for my growth as both an artist and an educator. It reinforced my belief that art serves as a dialogue, a bridge connecting individuals to society and the past to the future. My approach to art education mirrors this philosophy: I design pedagogical experiences with the same care as I do artworks, striving to nurture perception, creativity, and the transformative power of aesthetic immersion.
If my undergraduate years were a season of exploration, my graduate studies have been a journey of integration—and of embracing my identity as a researcher. Through this lens, I revisit past works to uncover their underlying logic and societal resonance while grappling with critical questions: How can research strengthen the theoretical underpinnings of my practice? How can art address societal challenges with greater depth and rigor? This phase has refined a hybrid methodology, blending art, education, and research to unlock new possibilities for my future work.
